Cemetery

Congregation Brith Sholom holds and maintains a cemetery for its members. Located on a hillside that allows for the contemplation of picturesque views of the surrounding valley, it dates back to the late 1800s, when some of the first Jewish families settled in Bethlehem.

For information, please contact Dr. Harry Shleifer at (610) 730-3353. To donate to our Cemetery Perpetual Fund, please click here.

The cemetery is located on Graham Street, just east of the intersection with Dodson Street, on Fountain Hill, in South Bethlehem, PA.

Watch the video to the right, and journey with us as Rabbi Allen Juda takes us on a tour as we learn the history of the Congregation Brith Sholom Cemetery in Fountain Hill, PA. Recorded on 10/20/24.

On September 6, 2026, Congregation Brith Sholom’s Cemetery Committee held a very meaningful ceremony to unveil our Holocaust Memorial Stone. We are grateful to several generous anonymous benefactors for donating the stone. The ceremony included remarks from State and local government representatives as well as the coordinator of the Holocaust Resource Center of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley.

The Holocaust Memorial Stone is much more than a monument. It represents remembrance, community,  and our collective responsibility to ensure that the memory of those who perished in the Shoah is never forgotten.
